This 35-year-old blend from the House of Suntory combines ,alt whiskies aged from 35 to 54 years with grain whiskies aged at least 35 years. This release is a collaboration with the famed Arita artisans and is inspired by early Arita works in the blue-and-white style. Presented in a pure white porcelain bottle decorated with a delicate illustration of peonies and an elegant butterfly with a raised white pattern. Each bottle is housed in a box made from 100-year-old Japanese cedar.
The nose has ripe fruits, vanilla and honey. The palate is a delicate balance of sweet and sour with woody notes permeating throughout. The finish is subtle and refined with a lingering influence of Mizunara (Japanese oak) casks.
