The legendary Hibiki represents true harmony. The ideal of perfection, the paragon of ‘The Art of Japanese Whisky’ and its artisans. Hibiki means resonance in Japanese. It speaks to the soul and emotions of the most discerning whisky lover. Hibiki resonates from nature and all the subtleties found from the twenty-four seasons of the old Japanese lunar calendar. Numerous pure single malt whiskies aged in a variety of cask types, including Mizunara, a very rare Japanese oak, all combine to create a full orchestra of flavors and aromas.
Suntory Hibiki 35 Year Old Kutani Decanter Blended Whisky
$63,050.00
This 35-year-old blend from the House of Suntory combines malt whiskies aged from 35 to 54 years with grain whiskies aged at least 35 years. This release is a collaboration with the artisans of the Ginsen Kilns and is inspired by an early Kutani porcelain motif. Presented in a white porcelain bottle decorated with a large peony, a brilliantly coloured butterfly and an intricate tortoiseshell pattern, each bottle is housed in a box made from 100-year-old Japanese cedar.
The nose has ripe fruits, vanilla and honey. The palate is a delicate balance of sweet and sour with woody notes permeating throughout. The finish is subtle and refined with a lingering influence of Mizunara (Japanese oak) casks.
